Morocco Participates in Ministerial Meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, participated on Tuesday in Beijing in the ministerial meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.

This forum, celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, represents a distinguished partnership between China and the African continent, built on the fundamental principles of solidarity, cooperation, and respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The ministerial meeting was chaired by the Chinese Foreign Minister, Mr. Wang Yi, and the Senegalese Foreign Minister, Mrs. Aissata Tall Sall, whose country holds the current co-chair position of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum for the African continent.

Chinese and African ministers reviewed and adopted the Beijing Declaration and Action Plan, with the aim of final approval by heads of state and government during the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, which will be held from September 4 to 6 in China.

This meeting provided Mr. Bourita with the opportunity to discuss with many of his counterparts and explore ways and means to enhance peace, stability, and development in the African continent through effective South-South cooperation, as well as trilateral cooperation with China within the framework of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, in accordance with the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
