Trump Escapes New Shooting Incident Near His Florida Club

American media reports indicate that the U.S. Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, is unharmed after a shooting outside his golf club in Florida on Sunday evening. Trump’s campaign explained that he was secured after the incident and was not in any danger.

According to the New York Post, authorities found an AK-47 automatic rifle and detained a suspect. Donald Trump Jr. conveyed via the platform “X” that law enforcement agencies informed him his father was not in any danger during the incident.

Trump had previously escaped an assassination attempt last July during an election rally in Pennsylvania, where he sustained a minor injury to his ear. That incident caused widespread shock within the United States and led to significant pressure on the Secret Service, prompting its director, Kimberly Cheatle, to resign.

The White House issued a statement saying that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris had been informed of the incident, and they expressed relief after ensuring Trump’s safety.
