INTERPOL President Discusses with Hammouchi Morocco’s Preparations to Host the Organization’s Conference in Marrakech
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdel Latif Hammouchi, met with the President of the International Criminal Police Organization INTERPOL, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi.
Al Raisi said in a tweet on X: “Always pleased to meet His Excellency Abdel Latif Hammouchi, Director General of Territorial Surveillance in the Kingdom of Morocco.”
He added: “During the meeting, we discussed Morocco’s preparations to host the 93rd General Assembly of INTERPOL, which will be held next year in Marrakech.”
Last year, the Kingdom of Morocco was honored to host the proceedings of the 93rd General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization “INTERPOL,” which is scheduled to be held in the city of Marrakech in 2025.
The General Assembly is the highest governing and decision-making body within INTERPOL. It convenes regularly and includes heads of law enforcement agencies from member states, who meet to assess international security challenges, analyze emerging criminal patterns, and explore ways to address them from a collective and shared perspective.
This selection also indicates the high level of trust and credibility in Moroccan security institutions, which have accumulated significant experience and expertise in combating terrorism and organized crime, and are now making them available to the various member states of INTERPOL.
