King’s Cup: Barcelona Defeats Real Betis with a Five-Goal Win

Barcelona, recently crowned Spanish Super Cup champions after defeating their traditional rivals and defending champions Real Madrid 5-2 in Jeddah, continued their impressive form and secured a spot in the quarterfinals without much difficulty.

The Catalan club took the lead in the first half with goals from international midfielder Gavi (3′) and French international defender Jules Koundé (27′). They added three more goals in the second half, scored by Brazilian Raphinha (58′), Ferran Torres (67′), and Lamine Yamal (75′).

Real Betis managed to score a consolation goal through Barcelona’s loanee, Brazilian forward Vitor Roque, who converted a penalty in the 84th minute.
