Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza: Statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Two days after the Gaza ceasefire agreement took effect, the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, commended the progress made toward ending the fighting and attacks on civilians that began on October 7, 2023.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates emphasized that “the Kingdom calls on both Palestinian and Israeli parties to seize the opportunity for peace, demonstrating sincere and constructive commitment, free from circumstantial or self-serving considerations.”

The Kingdom expressed hope that the ceasefire agreement would be fully respected, facilitating an end to attacks on civilians, the return of displaced persons, and smooth, sufficient access to humanitarian aid.
