Algerian journalist Walid Al-Kabir successfully trapped Algerian intelligence in a major sting after he announced in a post that he would avoid participating in any program or making any statements to the media.
Walid Al-Kabir, the Algerian journalist residing in Morocco, stated in a previous post: “I regret to announce the decision to completely cease making any media statements or participating in any programs, whether radio, television, or social media platforms, starting today and indefinitely.”
He then went on to confirm, saying, “The bait was successfully taken… A page affiliated with Algerian intelligence expresses its joy over the trap that was set yesterday in a gentlemanly manner and free from any pressures, as this poor man thinks… So that everyone knows how painful my statements to the media were for the military regime and its men… I did not expect the response to be swift and to express great delight… But alas, the joy is done, and on this basis, I now announce my immediate retraction of the decision and welcome all media, especially Moroccan media, to make media statements. I will later reveal who is behind this page… and many will be shocked.”
