Mustapha Baitas, the official spokesperson for the Moroccan government, confirmed that Morocco’s position remains firm and clear regarding the events in Palestine and Lebanon. This statement was made during a press conference following the government council meeting, where Baitas highlighted Morocco’s strong condemnation of the aggressions through Ministry of Foreign Affairs statements or the representation of King Mohammed VI by the Prime Minister at international summits.
Situation of the Moroccan Community in Lebanon
Baitas avoided giving a direct response concerning the situation of the Moroccan community in Lebanon in recent statements. However, in a previous conference, he assured that the government is closely monitoring the conditions of the community amid the military escalation.
The government’s spokesperson explained that a crisis cell has been established at the level of the Moroccan Embassy in Beirut to ensure the safety and guidance of Moroccans.
