Gaza War .. Abu Obeida Reveals Investigation Results of Prisoner’s Death and Death Toll Exceeds 40,000
On the 314th day of Israel’s war on Gaza, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip has reached 40,005, with 92,401 injured since October 7th last year.
According to the ministry’s statistics, children constitute 33% of the total martyrs, the elderly 8.6%, and women 18.4%.
Abu Obeida, spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, announced the results of the investigation into the killing of an Israeli prisoner, stating that the prisoner’s guard acted vengefully after receiving news of his two children’s martyrdom in an occupation airstrike. He emphasized that this incident does not represent their ethics or religious teachings in dealing with prisoners.
Politically, the Israeli delegation left Tel Aviv for Doha to participate in ceasefire negotiations scheduled to begin today, Thursday, amid ongoing accusations and leaks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to obstruct reaching a ceasefire agreement.
As for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), it announced yesterday, Wednesday, that it will not participate in a new round of ceasefire talks, confirming its declared position in refusing to engage in new negotiations and adhering to the paper presented by mediators.
