Hezbollah Launches Drone Attack on Israeli Military Sites

The Lebanese group Hezbollah announced today, Wednesday, that it carried out an attack on military sites in northern Israel using “swarms of kamikaze drones.”

The group stated that the attack targeted “the reserve headquarters of the Northern Corps and the logistical storage of the Galilee Division in Ami’ad,” asserting that the airstrike aimed at command centers and the deployment sites of officers and soldiers, and came as a “response to the Israeli bombing of the Bekaa area.” Hezbollah’s statement indicated that the attack hit the specified targets accurately.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army reported detecting “several suspicious aerial targets” that crossed the airspace from Lebanon and confirmed that its air defenses managed to intercept some of them, while some drones fell in open areas without causing any injuries. The army explained that warning systems were activated as a precaution against falling missile interception fragments.

In an exclusive statement to Sky News Arabia, an Israeli military source said: “Any Hezbollah weapon store that poses a threat will be targeted when intelligence is available,” adding that “Hezbollah’s drone weapon represents a new and dangerous challenge.”

The source confirmed that Israel’s border with Lebanon will witness changes, with an enhanced military presence consisting of larger units and clear defensive plans to protect the northern border.
