Including “Martah” of Boudarham… Government Announces 270 Projects to Landfill and Close Illegal Dumpsites
Both the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, along with the Charged Minister for the Budget and the heads of the councils of the twelve regions, signed an agreement to manage the household waste sector, extending from 2025 to 2034.
The agreement stipulates the establishment of 51 technical landfill centers nationwide, in addition to creating centers for landfill and waste valorization, as well as 270 projects to rehabilitate or close illegal dumpsites during the period from 2025 to 2034.
The city of Safro is approaching the establishment of a new public landfill as part of the national household waste valorization program, alongside the landfill of the old Boudarham dumpsite next year, 2025. The project is a partnership between the municipality of Safro and Safro Province.
The project’s location will be in Douar Bougoul.
