King Mohammed VI Presides Over Religious Ceremony Marking the 26th Anniversary of the Late King Hassan II’s Passing

The Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, presided over a religious ceremony today, Sunday, at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat. The ceremony commemorated the 26th anniversary of the passing of Morocco’s revered late King Hassan II, may his soul rest in peace.

The religious event was marked by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the chanting of praises for the Prophet Muhammad.

On this occasion, His Majesty the King, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, visited the tomb of the late King Hassan II, where he paid his respects and prayed for his soul.

The ceremony concluded with prayers to the Almighty asking Him to shower King Hassan II with vast mercy and admit him into His Paradise, and to also bestow mercy and forgiveness upon the late King Mohammed V and illuminate his resting place.

The attendees prayed to God to protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to grant him success in his endeavors and initiatives, and to bless him with victory and empowerment in all the initiatives and major projects he undertakes for the benefit and wellbeing of his loyal people.

The gathering also prayed to the Almighty to grant joy to His Majesty the King through his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to strengthen His Majesty’s support with his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the esteemed royal family.

The religious ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, the Presidents of both Houses of Parliament, the Advisors to His Majesty, government members, heads of constitutional bodies, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces, representatives of accredited Islamic diplomatic missions in Rabat, and other civilian and military figures.
