Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and in alignment with the provisions of Organic Law No. 111.14 regarding regional councils, as well as the Regional Development Plan (2022-2027), the Regional Council of Fes-Meknes, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, and with the support of the Wilaya of Fes-Meknes and Meknes Prefecture, is organizing the 4th Regional Fair for Social and Solidarity Economy Products. The event will take place from January 31 to February 7, 2025, at Bab Qzdir Square in Meknes, under the theme: “Social and Solidarity Economy: A Fruitful Tree Grown by Many Hands.”
Objectives of the Fair
This edition aims to build on the achievements of the three previous fairs, showcasing the dynamism of the social and solidarity economy sector and highlighting its noble humanitarian and cooperative goals. It seeks to:
- Strengthen production and marketing capacities.
- Assist cooperatives in obtaining health safety certifications (ONSSA).
- Foster the emergence of regional competitive hubs capable of creating added value and generating new job opportunities.
Key Features of the Fair
The fair will cover an area of 5,000 square meters, featuring exhibition pavilions, training sessions, entertainment, and conferences. It includes the following main hubs:
- Exhibitor Hub:
- 160 booths with 320 exhibitors representing various provinces of the region and other parts of Morocco.
- International Hub:
- Featuring participants from international partners such as China, France, Bahrain, Jordan, and Senegal, as well as government and non-governmental organizations promoting social and solidarity economy products.
- Financial and Institutional Support Hub:
- Offering opportunities to exchange expertise and experiences with institutions providing financial and technical support to social and solidarity organizations at the regional and national levels.
Special Highlights
The fair will also feature the second edition of the Caftan FES-MEKNES fashion show, showcasing the craftsmanship and creativity of artisans from the Fes-Meknes region.
This event underscores the commitment of Fes-Meknes to promoting the social and solidarity economy, creating opportunities for local and international collaboration, and celebrating the rich cultural and economic heritage of the region.
