New Appointments to Strengthen National Security in Major Moroccan Cities

The General Directorate of National Security has announced new appointments to key positions in central and local offices across the cities of Fes, Tetouan, Casablanca, Rashidia, Marrakech, and Khouribga. This initiative aims to enhance the security of citizens and protect their properties by attracting new, young, and experienced talents.

As part of this initiative, the Director General of National Security, Abdel Latif Hammouchi, approved the appointment of nine new officials to various positions. Among these appointees is the new head of the “GMS 99” Mobile Security Group under the Public Security Directorate, as well as the appointment of heads for two police departments in the cities of Tetouan and Ain Chock in Casablanca.

The appointments also include new security officers to lead the Urban Authority in the regional security area of Essaouira and the Civil and Golan Units in the regional commission of Imentanot. Additionally, heads of traffic accident departments have been appointed in the security districts of Fes and Khouribga, reflecting the Directorate’s commitment to enhancing traffic safety in these vital areas.

In the Fes security district, a new security officer has been appointed to lead the Provincial Directorate of Public Information, along with the selection of a head for the Anti-Gang Unit under the regional security in the city of Rashidia. These appointments are part of the ongoing efforts of the General Directorate of National Security to combat crimes and abuses, ensuring the effective and transparent application of the law.
