New Israeli Prediction for the Timing of “Hezbollah’s Attack”
Israeli sources revealed on Thursday that Tel Aviv expects Hezbollah to launch an attack against it by the end of this week.
The sources said that by the weekend, “Israel will be in the highest state of readiness for a response from Hezbollah.”
Earlier, Israeli Channel 13 had reported that “Israel now estimates that Hezbollah is determined to respond to the assassination of leader Fouad Shukr, unlike Iran, which is still hesitant” in responding to the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
It added: “Hezbollah may launch an attack on Israel after the conclusion of US envoy Amos Hochstein’s visit, but it has not yet determined its targets.”
Regional tensions have escalated in the wake of Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran, a day after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed Fouad Shukr, a prominent military commander in Hezbollah.
Previously, Israeli sources and reports had said on August 11 that estimates “suggest Hezbollah will carry out its attack within the next 24 hours,” meaning on August 12, but this did not occur.Israeli sources revealed on Thursday that Tel Aviv expects Hezbollah to launch an attack against it by the end of this week.
