Significant Salary Increase of 1000 Dirhams Net for Employees in This Sector
The National Federation for Vocational Training, under the Moroccan Labor Union, has delivered good news to all employees of the Office for Vocational Training and Job Promotion with the signing of amendments to certain articles of the basic law for the Office for Vocational Training and Job Promotion. These amendments include a range of prominent benefits, foremost among them a general salary increase of 1000 dirhams. This was agreed upon during social dialogue with the government in the April 2024 round, to be disbursed in two installments: the first installment of 500 dirhams net starting from July 1, 2024, and the second installment of another 500 dirhams net starting from July 1, 2025. Based on a letter received by the federation from the general administration of the office, the payment of the financial entitlements related to this increase will begin next month.
This achievement, according to a statement received by Akhbarona, comes in response to the correspondences sent by the federation to the minister responsible for the sector, the Minister of Finance and the General Administration, and as a culmination of the federation’s ongoing struggles and its constant dedication to defending the demands of the office’s employees and staff. This progress will contribute to amending Article 18 of the office’s fundamental law, ensuring sustainable improvement in their financial and professional conditions and enhancing their purchasing power in the face of the ongoing rise in living costs. This step also represents a well-deserved recognition of the dedication and continuous sacrifices of all the office’s employees and staff to achieve the ambitious goals set by the office’s strategic roadmap, affirming their vital role in elevating the quality of vocational training and enhancing the sector’s role in economic and social development.
Among the other gains is the increase in the quota for internal promotion in the scale to 36 percent, starting from January 1, 2023. This will open new horizons for the office’s employees and staff to enhance internal promotion opportunities and actively contribute to improving their career paths and developing their professional futures. This achievement, according to the federation, is the culmination of a series of fruitful meetings held by the joint committee between the National Federation for Vocational Training and the office’s general administration, which resulted in the amendment of Article 23 of the office’s basic law. This reflects the success of social dialogue and ongoing cooperation between the two parties, reinforcing users’ rights and ensuring them a more equitable and sustainable career development. Regarding the issue of certificate holders, the National Federation for Vocational Training confirmed its steadfast commitment to defending the rights of this category and striving to meet their legitimate demands, ensuring fairness and improving their professional conditions. In this context, the statement indicated that negotiations are still ongoing with responsible parties to reach a final and fair solution to this issue.
