Today, Thursday, October 24, the Governor of Taounate Province, Sidi Saleh Daha, inaugurated a scientific symposium at the main hall of the Taounate Province Annex. The event, titled “Climate Change, Water Resources, and the Question of Development in Taounate Province,” included participation from professors from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and representatives from decentralized water sector entities.

Dr. Mohamed Hajira, a parliamentarian and President of the Tamzkana Municipality, highlighted the importance of this gathering, stating to the media, “Today, we had an important scientific meeting as part of the Tamzkana Forum for Mountain Culture and Heritage. This fourth edition focuses on the vital role of valuing water resources as a cornerstone of development in Taounate Province. We focus on the theme of climate change, water resources, and development, a matter emphasized by His Majesty the King in his July 30, 2024, speech.”

This scientific symposium is part of the opening of the fourth Tamzkana Forum for Mountain Culture and Heritage, taking place from October 24 to 26. The forum is organized in partnership with the Initiatives Forum for Development and Solidarity Association, the Ministry of Youth, Communication, and Culture, the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, Taounate Provincial Authority, Taounate Provincial Council, and the Tamzkana Municipal Council.
