Since 2018, a team of scientists forming the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration has been closely studying the glacier, often referred to as the “Doomsday Glacier,” to understand how and when it might collapse.
According to a report by CNN, the scientists have stated that the outlook is grim and have revealed the main conclusions from six years of research, tracking the extent of the Doomsday Glacier’s melting.
