Three Israeli Police Officers Killed in Armed Attack West of Hebron
Hebrew media reported that Palestinian gunmen opened fire on several vehicles, including a police car and a bus, before withdrawing from the scene.
Magen David Adom emergency services clarified in a statement: “Following the shooting at a vehicle carrying 3 passengers on Route 35 east of the Tarqumiyah crossing. Paramedics from Magen David Adom provided medical treatment to three injured persons: a man and a woman, approximately 30 years old, in critical condition, and a man approximately 50 years old in serious condition.”
For its part, the Israeli army stated that it found the vehicle used in the attack empty after the perpetrators managed to withdraw, confirming that reinforcements from the Gush Etzion camp south of Bethlehem were deployed to the area where the operation took place.
Security forces surrounded the village of Idhna, near the shooting incident north of Hebron, and numerous forces are participating in the manhunt for the attackers.
