The President of the Comoros, Azali Assoumani, suffered minor injuries today, Friday, from a stab attack, sources close to the presidency confirmed, while a government spokesperson emphasized that his life is not in danger following the “assault.”
A source close to the presidency, who requested anonymity, stated that “President Azali Assoumani sustained minor knife wounds during a funeral ceremony,” noting that “his injuries are not serious,” and the attackers have been apprehended.
Two other sources close to the presidency confirmed that Assoumani’s injuries are minor.
