Officers from the Wilaya Police Judicial Service in Casablanca, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, managed to arrest an individual on Thursday evening, August 22, who is suspected of being involved in the trafficking of bufa and cocaine.
The suspect was apprehended in the act of possessing and trafficking drugs in one of the neighborhoods of Casablanca. A search conducted at his residence revealed that he was in possession of 161 grams of cocaine and 1,738 wraps of bufa, with a total weight of 1 kilogram and 550 grams, in addition to seizing a large cold weapon and two vehicles, one of which had fake license plates.
A check of the suspect in the National Security database showed that he was subject to several national search warrants issued by the judicial police in Casablanca, for suspicion of involvement in similar cases related to drug trafficking and psychoactive substances.
The suspect has been placed under police custody as part of the judicial investigation underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover the source and pathways for acquiring the seized drug shipments, as well as to arrest any potential accomplices or participants in this criminal activity.
