Casablanca Stock Exchange Ends Trading on an Upward Note
The Casablanca Stock Exchange concluded its trading on Friday with an increase, as its main index, “MAZIE,” rose by 0.19%, settling at 13,954.07 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, also increased by 0.19% to 1,132.01 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which includes companies with the best ESG ratings, advanced by 0.58% to 1,018.65 points.
In contrast, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, recorded a decline of 0.35% to 1,250.9 points.
Regarding international indices, the “FTSE – CSE Morocco 15” closed with a gain of 0.29% to 13,138.53 points, and similarly, the “FTSE Morocco All-Liquid” index rose by 0.38% to 11,722.19 points.
The total trading volume reached 78.125 million dirhams, primarily realized in the central market (stocks). “Banque Populaire” topped the list of the most traded stocks with transactions amounting to 12.65 million dirhams, followed by “Attijariwafa Bank” (10.43 million dirhams) and “Maroc Telecom” (10.26 million dirhams).
As for the market capitalization, it exceeded 725.86 billion dirhams.
In terms of individual stocks, the strongest increases were seen in “Stockfice North Africa” (+9.96% to 18 dirhams), “Infollis” (+9.62% to 114 dirhams), “Zalijja” (+5.99% to 84.79 dirhams), “Auto Hall” (+5.03% to 71 dirhams), and “Strok Industry” (+4.27% to 58.39 dirhams).
Conversely, the strongest declines were recorded by “Mechanical Achievements Company” (-9.99% to 609.4 dirhams), “Vini Brousset” (-8.92% to 113.8 dirhams), “Med Paper” (-7.29% to 24.66 dirhams), “Olmas” (-5.64% to 1,321 dirhams), and “Label Vie” (-2.99% to 4.550 dirhams).
