Criminal Procedure on the Agenda of the Akhannouch Government

The Criminal Procedure: The government council is expected to hold a meeting next Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch. According to a statement from the government presidency, the council will discuss several important issues related to legislation and economic development.

At the beginning of the session, a draft law aimed at amending and supplementing the current law related to criminal procedure will be examined. This step is part of the government’s efforts to modernize and develop the judicial system in the kingdom.

The council will also discuss two draft decrees related to export free zones. The first aims to amend the decree establishing the “Bouznika” export free zone, while the second concerns changing the decree for the “Tangier Automotive City” export free zone. These initiatives aim to enhance Morocco’s competitiveness in the export sector and attract foreign investments.

At the end of its proceedings, the council will consider proposals for appointments to high-level positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the constitution. This step reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing competencies in important leadership positions.
