France Unveils a Scandal Against “ALKABRANAT” After Seizing a “Record” Amount of Money from “Smugglers” Coming from Algeria

ALKABRANAT : “Algerian military regime effectively in power”

Media reports indicate that the security services at Charles de Gaulle Airport in the French capital, Paris, exposed on Sunday a new scandal against their counterparts in Algeria. This followed the discovery of a large “smuggled” sum of money, described as “record-breaking,” found in the possession of two young men coming from Algeria.

According to the sources, the smuggled amount reached 2.4 million euros, which is equivalent to 2.5 billion Moroccan centimes. This raised significant suspicion among some voices suggesting the involvement of entities at Algerian airports that facilitate unauthorized individuals in smuggling their illicit funds abroad. Meanwhile, other observers believe the incident accurately reflects the chaos and lack of control affecting all state institutions in the eastern neighbor.

In a related context, the reports mention that the two young men from Algeria were attempting to flee with their “smuggled” funds to Istanbul, Turkey, via Charles de Gaulle Airport in France. They were apprehended and detained by customs officials specializing in external surveillance, charged with violating the law on capital movement and suspected currency smuggling.

According to the same sources, French customs at Charles de Gaulle Airport seized and confiscated a sum amounting to 2.4 million euros, including an amount in Swiss francs, found with the Algerian smugglers aged 39 and 32, respectively. During the investigation, they claimed to be involved in the textile trade.
