Chariot company has confirmed the presence of gas reserves off the coast of Larache following preliminary analysis of results showing their existence in the sands of “B” area dedicated to well assessment.
However, more work is necessary to determine the precise impact of this, according to a statement from the company. Drilling operations continue to explore deeper targets.
The first exploratory hole was drilled to assess the potential of discovering reservoirs at the “Anchois-1” site, but the results showed the presence of water reservoirs. Consequently, this hole was sealed and abandoned before deviating and drilling the main hole.
