In a significant step reflecting the depth of strategic relations between the Gulf states and Morocco, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) commended UN Security Council Resolution 2756, issued on October 31, 2024, regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue.
The 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council, held on Sunday in Kuwait, focused on strengthening Gulf cooperation and addressing various pressing issues amidst the current regional circumstances.
The GCC Supreme Council emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the Gulf states and Morocco, as well as the implementation of a joint action plan to enhance cooperation in various fields.
The Council also reaffirmed its unwavering support for Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara and its efforts to preserve its security, stability, and territorial integrity.
This stance reflects the historic and fraternal ties between the GCC and Morocco, while supporting international efforts aimed at finding a permanent and sustainable solution to the Sahara issue.
