Netanyahu: We Will Not Withdraw from Philadelphia and Netzarim Corridors Under Any Circumstances

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Declares Israel Will Not Withdraw from Philadelphia Corridor in Gaza Under Any Circumstances

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel would not withdraw from the Philadelphia Corridor in the Gaza Strip under any circumstances. During a meeting with families of hostages, he emphasized that while he is not certain about the likelihood of reaching a deal, any agreement must consider Israeli interests.

Netanyahu stressed that Israel would not abandon the Philadelphia and Netzarim corridors despite significant pressure to do so, explaining that these locations are considered strategic assets for Israel from both military and political perspectives.

He indicated that he aims to secure the release of “as many as possible” living hostages held in Gaza in the first phase of any ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Netanyahu also insisted on the necessity of maintaining Israeli forces in the Philadelphia Corridor to prevent Hamas from rearming, considering this a fundamental requirement for achieving the war’s objectives.

Netanyahu’s office added in a statement that the Prime Minister continues to promote a deal aimed at increasing the number of living abductees released while achieving all war objectives.
