Police Officer Injured After Gas Cylinder Explosion Near Jewish Temple in France
Two cars, one containing a gas cylinder, were set on fire on Saturday morning in front of a Jewish temple in La Grande-Motte in southern France, resulting in an explosion that injured a police officer, according to the gendarmerie and the mayor.
The city’s mayor, Stéphan Rossignol, told AFP that a municipal police officer was injured at the scene where at least two cars were set ablaze.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin condemned what he described as a “criminal” act on the social media platform X.
