Zelensky: Ukrainian Army is “Reinforcing” Positions in Kursk
In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Saturday that the army is “reinforcing” its positions in the Kursk region, following more than ten days of an attack launched by Ukrainian forces inside Russian territory.
His statements came after Russian officials accused Ukraine of destroying a key bridge over the Sema River, which runs through the border area, as Kyiv seeks to disrupt the movement of Russian forces in the region.
Zelensky stated on Telegram following a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, General Oleksandr Syrsky, “He reported that our forces are reinforcing their positions in the Kursk region and expanding the secured area.”
