Sla’s DST Dismantles a Drug Trafficking Network

Police officers from the Regional Security Directorate in the city of Sla, acting on information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DST), succeeded today, Wednesday, January 15th, in arresting four individuals suspected of involvement in a case related to possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.

The first suspect was apprehended at the entrance to the city of Sla, immediately upon his arrival in a vehicle coming from one of the northern cities of the kingdom. A search operation led to the seizure of 11,400 psychotropic pills of the “Rivotril” type and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this criminal activity.

Continuing investigations and inquiries into the case led to the arrest of three other individuals suspected of being linked to this criminal operation. The four suspects were placed in custody under judicial supervision at the direction of the competent public prosecutor, in order to determine the remaining potential links to this criminal activity.
