Moroccan star Soufiane El Bakkali, holder of the Olympic and world titles, is set to compete in the final of the 3000m steeplechase as part of the Diamond League Championship, which will take place this Friday evening, September 13, in Brussels, Belgium, during the “Memorial Van Damme” meet.
El Bakkali, who hails from Fes, wrote on his social media pages: “Tomorrow, God willing, the Diamond League final will be held at the Brussels meet. Please keep me in your prayers.”
The Brussels meet will be broadcast live starting at 19:00 on the third channel of the “SNRT” group, the Moroccan “Arryadia” channel.
El Bakkali, the master of the 3000m steeplechase, faces a new challenge to win the Diamond League title, following his Olympic and world titles in this specialty.
