Widespread Anger in Israel Against Netanyahu After Finding Bodies of 6 Hostages

A state of anger prevailed in Israel against Benjamin Netanyahu’s government following the occupation army’s announcement of recovering the bodies of 6 detainees after finding them inside a tunnel in the Gaza Strip.

The “Hostage Families Forum” called on the labor union and institutions to strike, demonstrate, and paralyze movement in Israel today. Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that the Security Cabinet should meet immediately and reverse the decision it made on Thursday.

A severe confrontation and unprecedented clash erupted between Gallant and Netanyahu on Thursday after the Cabinet discussed maintaining control over the Philadelphia Corridor in Gaza, with Gallant strongly opposing this decision as it hinders reaching an agreement for prisoner exchange.

Commenting on the recovery of the hostages’ bodies, Gallant said today, “It’s too late for the detainees who were killed, and the remaining captives must be returned.” He affirmed that Israel will hold all Hamas leaders accountable, according to his statement.
