The Turkish news agency “Anadolu” revealed that Sevilla FC is considering the return of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who transferred to Fenerbahçe during the last summer transfer window.
The same agency, quoting Spanish media reports, indicated that this interest arises amid the offensive struggles faced by the Andalusian team this season.
According to the sources, it is claimed that Sevilla, under the supervision of sporting director Victor Orta, may seek to bring back the 27-year-old En-Nesyri during the upcoming winter transfer window. This decision comes as an attempt to strengthen the attacking line, especially after the team has scored only 10 goals in 9 La Liga matches.
Despite En-Nesyri’s move to Fenerbahçe after extended negotiations this summer, “Anadolu” adds that his performance with the Turkish team has not met expectations, as he has scored only one goal in 11 matches. This situation has increased Sevilla’s desire to regain their former striker to compensate for the attacking shortfall the team is experiencing, the report adds.
