Nayef Aguerd Rejects Gulf Offers, Commits to Continuing His Career in Europe
The future of Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd with English club West Ham remains uncertain amid speculation about a potential transfer following significant offers.
According to the French website “Foot Mercato,” Saudi club Al-Ittihad expressed interest in signing the Moroccan international with a substantial financial offer. However, Aguerd rejected the offer, preferring to continue his European career, undeterred by the allure of Gulf clubs.
The site also mentioned that Aguerd has other offers from Spanish clubs such as Villarreal and Espanyol Barcelona, increasing the possibility of a move to La Liga. Nonetheless, if no transfer deal is finalized, the player will continue with his English team, West Ham.
It is noteworthy that Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, confirmed in a press conference held on Thursday that both Nayef Aguerd and his teammate Azzedine Ounahi have declined offers from Gulf clubs, emphasizing their commitment to further developing their skills to benefit the national team.
