AFCON Qualifiers: Moroccan National Team Faces Gabon
This Friday evening at 8 PM, the Moroccan national team will face a strong challenge against the Gabonese team at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, as part of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Moroccan national team held their final training session on Thursday evening at the Grand Stadium of Agadir, focusing on final preparations and familiarizing themselves with the pitch before the match against Gabon.
Regarding tonight’s match, national coach Walid Regragui stated: “We’ve had a good week with the squad, and the Gabon match will be beneficial for us to try out new players and face teams that could pose problems for us in the future due to their different playing styles. The opponent is playing to qualify, which means it’s not an easy match.”
He added: “There are no easy matches, and each match is an opportunity to learn and gain more experience. We must give our best and be more effective, which is a problem we’ve struggled with in the past. I believe things are improving with the presence of high-level players. I have great confidence in the squad, and the competition for a starting spot is very high.”
